I'm More Dangerous Than You

oh yeah also everyone is comparing this to Killing stalking and I must admit yes there are many similarities but personally this tops killing stalking anyday in my book, not that it's a GL but because of the focus being mainly on the thriller and "romance" aspect of the Manhua and although sadly 😭 no s** scenes (or at least the fully extended scenes?) however I do think the lack of those scenes did help me read through this one with the thought of thriller in mind. And this is just a personal pick about killing stalking for me but some s** scenes in the manhwa was not really needed in the sense of progressing the plot and that was what made me drop it as it turned into sm** which was not really something I could care about after finding out killing stalking was more of a thriller than romance

So interesting. I keep coming back to this story whenever I can. And this time I decided to write a slightly longer review. First of all, I don't have a PhD, and everything I say could just be yap, so don't see it as the absolute truth.

The ethics and morals that are portrayed in this are so well calculated, because it speaks a lot about human behavior. Who has never come across a scoundrel in their life and think "g** if only this person just disappear for once and all", but without getting their hands dirty of course, because there are rules, there are laws and most importantly, this is wrong. The big star of the show, Ren, she is more than the serial killer that we are shown, she herself is a tragedy of society, the well-known necessary evil, she no longer cares "they are the wrong ones, they deserved it", but make no mistake Ren is not the heroine of the story, she is no good for our MC.

So why the he** is everyone clamoring for her so much? Well I could just say in a very shallow way "If evil why hot" lolz but no. Ren would be what Wanshu would have become if she let her thoughts that she wrote in the novel become real, because she is just as tragic. Everything in her life was going terrible so far. Until when Ren appeared, like an angel of death taking all the evil in the world and protecting her with her wings, she finally knew what it was like to breathe again.

But nothing is that easy, because soon the mask fell and the truth was placed on the table, everything turned around for her. And what comes for this is a follow-up to how an unhealthy relationship can emerge. And in the end, after all that abuse that Wanshu suffered, she couldn't let Ren go anymore, because she was already as broken as Ren.

Ren is the liberating and horrible version that we have inside of us if we just let it run  free and I hope that never comes to the surface.

(I wanted to delve deeper into the "romance" part, which is more of an obsession on both sides, and about the reporter, but I'll leave it for now) 9.7/10
