Rocks on Villain Unrivaled
What a nice surprise I got. Not many of those, around here. The average interaction I have on this site fills me with potent deathwish, but sometimes... it's nice, getting an unexpected treat.
We are dealing with murim shït. That much you should be able to gather yourself, I hope. Then again I shouldn't confide in that, knowing you, but I'm an incorrigible optimist. As for the tropes, it is a novel transmigration, type β: author MC. This last component shuffles the cards in the deck: we go from the usual action shonen with a protagonist that attains ultimate power, to a more classical transmigration story about using key information to stay on top.
Yes, this will upset the children. You can imagine the comment section's cries already. Woon isn't exceptionally powerful, nor exceptionally handsome, nor particularly charismatic. But he wrote this shi*** story, and by göd, he is gonna take full advantage of that. The way he does this is interesting, smugly clever, daring and cunning: he won't always succeed, and he won't always do it by kicking someone's a**, but at least he will steal and sell everything they have on them, down to their shorts. It's a recipe for great entertainment, but an announced failure if you want to quell your ego problems by mindlessly projecting yourself into an OP protagonist. Woe is me, how will you manage? :'(
Gotta say tho, the art is striking. It has a really peculiar style, which is equal part uncanny valley and stunningly detailed. Mostly the faces for the first characteristic, but with a notable variety in facial features between characters, and the costume design for the second. Also great bodies, the shirtless factor is high in this one. Much obliged.
Nothing to add. A full 5 stars, a full reccomendation.
