Pretty good on Marriage and Sword
If I had to say, it really irks me sometimes. Small things. Little details that make me scoff. But not enough to dislike it. That's why I'm irritated, I should enjoy it but THERE ARE ASPECTS OF IT THAT UGGGGHH.
The most apparent one is the art. The style is less than refined, and there are some model errors sprinkled in the panels. It's fine, to be fair, but UGGGGGGHHHHH.
Then the writing. The character tropes should appeal to me. After all, "obsessively in love hunk" and "terminator airhead FL", while being a bit generic, are usually able to carry a main couple. But the way they are written is just a tad too superficial.
Like, yes, I enjoy girlbossing as much as the next idiot on here, but FL is... a mix between an OP anime protagonist and the most lukewarmly shy doujinshi love interest you can ever imagine. There is this... uncomfortably adoring gaze the manga uses to show her. Should be toned down a bit. Shan too, is not deeper than a puddle: very obsessive, but practically a list of the characteristics a perfect slave husband should have. Makes him unrealistic.
And they are cute together, sure. Until I'm fed up with the usual lovey-dovey/jelly/unspeakably violent sheaningans they get into.
I dunno, I wanted a bit more. It's good if you want to switch off your brain for a while. Not that it would make much of a difference in your case. 8- on the Ivern Scale™️.
