Rocks on Blue Period
I'd crack Ryuji.
Story was pretty good too, ig.
Alright, enough joking.
I really love this series, and I can connect to it on a very personal level. All these characters have similarities with me, and I feel like I know what experiences the author wrote them with. Wether its with art, the expression of self, the expectations set upon you, or the ability to love yourself.
I really enjoy the main character. His sudden discovery of this art, and trying to express himself and his ideas is really intriguing. He represents everything that I love in what I see of myself. His struggles, his resplutions, his stubborness, his friends and lifestyle.
I really love Ryuji's character. His thoughts on the emptiness of life, homosexuality, art, and the drowning of comfortability. The things I see in him that I also see in myself, I hate.
When I date and hang out with girls and when those things inevitably go south, Im wroughting myself with ego, power-trips and anger. These things just make me wonder; "Am I gay"? Why can't I love women? Why cant I make these girls happy? I just don't know how to express love to someone, be it male or female.
These thoughts drown you more and more untill you loathe yourself completely, burying out all the people who do love you.
Ryuji is a very memorable character for me, and it partly due to the fact that I see myself the most in him. His life, his problems, his ideas, his sadness and quarrels.
I lose myself upon myself, and in the nakedness of my beauty I am disgusted.
I dont have much to say about the plot, it gets it point across. But the main meal is its characters, and I think it perfectly excells at that.
Score: 87/10
G** bless, G** loves, and you should love yourself like how G** loves you.
